Marketed as a portable, end-to-end HD studio, the VAIO AR190G offers a pretty compelling set of A/V features to back up the claim: in addition to the Blu-ray drive, a 17-inch wide-screen display (WUXGA), an HDMI output, and a FireWire connection, you get a 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo processor, a midrange Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 GT GPU with 256MB of VRAM, a 200GB hard drive, and a TV tuner.

Samsung Q1 Ultra Mobile PC
May 1, 2006 6:02 amSamsung unveiled its Q1 Ultra Mobile PC this morning at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. The device seeks to combine elements of a laptop, tablet, PDA, PVP, MP3 player, GPS module, and gaming handheld into a form factor that falls between a smart phone/Pocket PC and an ultraportable laptop. The Q1 is shown here with a USB keyboard and a portfolio carrying case, neither of which is included in the $1,099 price.
