June 12, 2007 2:13 am

Sony has its own approach with its VAIO notebook series as they have set these beautifully designed lappies as a fashion accessory. I hope you remember the VAIO FJ Splash Edition, VAIO C and FE Series laptops. This time, they have rolled out the VAIO CR series notebooks that feature Santa Rosa platform and a cool colorful make.

The new VAIO CR line-up touts a 14.1-inch WXGA screen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The innards of the machines take in Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Intel GM965 chipset with integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, Santa Rosa 1.8GHz chip, 2GB of RAM, built-in DVD burner, and support for 802.11n.

The 5.5 pound chic laptops are available in five colors, the Sangria, Cosmopolitan, Dove, Indigo and Black. The CR notebooks will start shipping by the end of June for a starting price of $1,350.
