Apple updates MacBooks

May 17, 2007 2:13 am

Apple recently announced a refresh of its MacBook notebook computer range, integrating Intel’s of late introduced Santa Rosa platform with latest Core 2 Duo processors, 1GB of memory and 802.11n draft wireless networking. The updated MacBooks are available on Apple’s Online Store immediately
The updated MacBooks now feature Intel Core 2 Duo mobile CPUs with speeds of up to 2.16GHz (with 4MB L2 cache), 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (2 memory slots) and 200GB hard drives. The raw power in conjunction with an integrated webcam atop the shimmering 13.3″ widescreen, an assortment of connectivity options, which are included with DVI, and the potential to dual-boot in OS X Tiger or Windows Vista, encourages users to get one for themselves.
Schiller said,
The MacBook is a huge hit with customers, and is one of the reasons that Mac sales are growing three times faster than PC sales.

Apple blesses MacBooks with faster processors

May 15, 2007 11:28 pm

It
??s no surprise that Apple has now blessed its MacBook notebooks with a speed bash. The notable updates embrace quicker Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 1GB of memory and larger hard drives.
The $1,099 MacBook is now equipped with a 2GHz Core 2 Duo processor instead of the one clocked at 1.86GHz. The $1,299 and $1,499 models will now boast 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo processors. Anyhow, the revised machines are still based on the “Napa Refresh” platform. So, the new MacBooks don
??t feature Intel 965 Express chipsets, and Intel GMA X3100 graphics.
But, the Airport Extreme card makes for the 802.11n Wi-Fi support. All the new Apple laptops are available at the Apple Stores.
