Asus steals the Computex 2007 show with its wooden laptop

The good guys over at Asus have taken a cool approach to the laptop designing by wrapping a notebook prototype in a wood veneer. We have seen a hell lot of designer notebooks earlier dressed in gold and crystals but this is surely a new spin on the idea of laptop designing. The prototype design was honored with the
??Best Choice award for Product Design
at the Computex 2007.
We have no details of the innards of the beautifully crafted laptop but I don
??t think we should bother that much for that. The company hasn
??t commented anything on its market launch but I would simply love to see this wooden laptop on the shelves.
